Oh I dunno, I was only thinking from the ground up, safety. That might be about it. Theoretically at any time they could be deported if caught, although realistically I think they only deport the really violent ones when they catch them, but who knows

I know I would be a chameleon, whatever I need to be to survive (within a moral framework I would hope). This means I would have zero problem pretending I’m not Jewish, or I’m whatever other thing that will keep me alive. I have incredible respect for anyone willing to die for their faith, but that’s not me

A more modern scenario is I think my best chance if I was ever caught by cartel would be to offer to mule for them. Convince them I don’t make good money back home and as a white dude it would be easier for me to go back and forth across the border

My best chance would be my persuasion skills and trying to get away later, rather than testing their accuracy with their guns right now. Of course if I get the feeling I’m going to die right then the persuasion stops and I try to hurt someone before I go. I hope, who can really know until in that situation tho, maybe I just shit my pants and do nothing

Sometimes I wonder what I would do if the cartel said you can join but we want you to kill this innocent person first
