Elite: Dangerous - Info and Stream

Now i was a HUGE fan of Elite when i played it in the 90s. I dig the whole vibe the game is doing here. But it does not seem like it is worth $62.04 .

Plus there are a TON of procedurally generated games coming out, and most of them you do not have to be online for.

I guess my inherent "hate multiplayer" bias is coming into this.

I have 160 single player steam games, I think im fine.

I dont mind being online, but fuck dealing with anyone elses nonsense. If i wasnt married I would be a recluse, nawmean?

Sadly I can't really get into most single player games. I feel bad enough wasting time on persistent games. Single player other than like RPGs cant hold my interest.

You can play solo, you just have to be connected to the internet.

The coolest part about this game from watching different streams is the voice attack software that everyone is using

Game looks decent but I don't think it will be as good as star citizen

Star Citizen is a good year+ away from being competition to this I believe. So I'll likely play this and then Star Citizen. Just gonna wait a bit and see if they add to the game to make it more viable and social. If they make good on their promises they will get my money.
