His conclusion isn’t wrong, but compelling peace on a people wanting to fight for their land is a recipe for this conflict to resume at a later date

Has Ukraine won yet? Russia has captured enough territory to hold referendums in 4 major regions to let the people decide if they want to join Russia or stay with Ukraine. They all decided to switch from Ukraine to Russia. (Also fun fact, these same regions have been trying to gain independence from Ukraine for many years now).

I was about to watch a documentary the other day when I realized Fukuyama was one of the "experts" and it instantly lost credibility. Still watched it, though
