I vote Enchanter. Shaman typically loses to Enchanter as a plat-maker due to the enormous cost associated with the Shaman class. The Enchanter's much cheaper and hence starts making profit sooner. It'd take a Shaman a long time to catch up. Unless you plan to farm truly massive amounts of platinum--millions, probably--pick something besides the Shaman for that job unless you want to play the class anyhow.
I regard Necromancer as a tolerable alternative for folks who want a decent solo class that's cheap to gear and safe/convenient to play. There's something to be said for being able to do your solo farming in peace and go AFK entirely at will. Danth

A problem with Shaman is they have no way to lull themselves to camp, and once there no way to safely split pull unless you get an FD ring...and then your charges are very limited.
What this means is if you want to camp something as a shaman, you need to break the camp...and keep it broken. And getting to the camp can be a long struggle in itself without lull. Tons of tedious root-rotting to move places. Which on P99, where most solo camps with big ticket items are frequently camped, means you just need to park your uber torpor shaman in strange places and wait your turn.

In Kunark, it was Enchanter with an incredibly large distance to shamans in second place.
Not sure what stuff sells for in Velious, but I would be very surprised if shaman edged out enchanters given enchanter superiority in Velks + Sirens vs shaman superiority in Kael.
