Default crafting success rate

Has anyone else noticed a very low chance of failing crafting items? On over 1500 crafting combines I am convinced that the success rate is off. This applies both to very trivial combines (5% base failure rate) and items that are about 50% success rate. I seem to be failing about half as often on the 50% items and went 200/200 on trivial items. While not statistically impossible, my luck has never been that good.

PS: If this is considered an exploit, please move to the proper topic. I posted here because I wanted to see if others had similar experiences. I have asked in OOC but never gotten a response from a crafter.

Success rate is accurate. It's not a boolean: if trivial, success = %. It's a sliding scale that depends on your skill vs the combine trivial. The farther up you are from zero, the less of a difference large gaps will make.

I don't mean to say that trivial =%, just because it's trivial doesn't mean it's perfect. On the contrary, I am pretty sure there is a max success rate of 95%. This has been discussed repeatedly on eqtraders forums, even by sony Devs and is included in they're calculator. The success rate AAs available later on didn't even lessen this max success rate.

The non trivial combines I do concede is just anecdotal evidence and I could just be having better than normal luck lately.
