Default Very weird problem post installation

I installed project1999 on my desktop that's a dual-core vista amd-thing. I'm pretty positive my video drivers are updated and I followed all the steps in the setup guide but I can't ever log in to my characters. EQ boots up, I type in my info, pick the server, and get to the character select screen. The game looks like it's really twitchy as opposed to be really smooth like it is on my laptop (figured it'd even look better on PC). I was able to log in once, and the game was moving erratically fast, like run from the Docks in Oasis to North Ro zoneline in ~3 seconds twitchy/fast. Once I got the zone, the game tossed me back to the login screen and can't log in to either characters now. Not really sure what to think, some sort of video card compatibility issue or processor-problem, any help would be great. Also, there is only one client loaded at a time, I'm not trying to log in with my laptop at the same time or anything.

Edit: It also tells me I need to patch, but I put in everything from the start guide so figured that was enough?

Edit2: Found the topic on Dual-core usage, fixed the problem. Topic closed.
