Can we talk about Circlet of Shadow?

Roughly two months ago they were going for 15-18k, now people are trying to sell them for 40k. These are not selling, I've tried to buy multiple and the people just stop responding. It's all a price hike scam beware.

only 2 classes can use it, and it hasn't been that great of an item for like ~7 years or so now since they nerfed the FD/insta click invis split pull method

It’s an amazing item for a levelling charming necro, great convenience with insta charm break without having to swap target. Pretty handy general purpose tool too, weird price spike though. Paid 11k for mine six months ago /shrug

The item doesn't drop anymore and its one of the only pieces of gear that makes a noticeable difference on one of the most popular classes in the game. If you dont like it go buy a goblin gaz ring or be content with the circlet that has a 2 second cast time.

Why are elder beads worth hundreds of thousands of plat when a 150pp Kunark Bard helm and 20pp stalking probes do the same thing?

I wouldnt sell my circlet for any amount of platinum on P99, there is a point platinum is basically worthless on P99. The price was low on Blue because the item was farmed for 5 years of Kunark before Velious came out.

no its not "amazing", no you don't have to "swap targets"

the entire thing it has going is insta-click, and if 5 seconds is gonna make-or-break your gameplay

No one said it’s going to make or break the class, it’s a great convenience item not a necessity

A nice convenience.

15-18K seems fair at this point on green.

But it is the best charm break item by far. As great as a gobby ring is for enchanters, you still have a couple extra keystrokes. That means quite a bit in high-leverage solo situations.

40K? Nah. That is silly.
