Graphics card for smooth raids?
I was just wondering what kind of graphics card do I need so raids are silky smooth? I use an integrated video card right now and non raids it's fine but in raids it's choppy. Just wondering what kind of dedicated GPU I need for silky smooth raiding?
Thanks! | ||

If you're looking for smooth raiding, you’ll want a solid dedicated GPU. A good mid-range card like the NVIDIA GTX 1660 Super or AMD RX 580 should handle most raids well. If you’re into high-end settings or 1440p/4K, consider something like the NVIDIA RTX 3060 or AMD RX 6700 XT.

I found that fiddling with the presets in the nvidea software (specific to eq.exe) was required for smooth everything even on my laptop RTX 4060 current graphic card
Default settings even with a modern card was no bueno. Adjusted the settings and it is max FPS 100% of the time - even in crowds and even in awful zones like EJ and WL. Those zones are notorious for being laggy. Game is old - new cards aren’t necessary.
