I am pretty sure at this point if global ooc was pulled pop would improve with more blues. It used to be utter nonsense back in the day not sure about now, but yeah pro tip from andian you can hide the bitch if it bothers you.
I know there is a client side solution. I am simply addressing that most new players see the /ooc as a pure negative to the server.

I agree. OOC has runned off more blue players than twinks. Even though you can ignore it most people just knowing it's there and it is a problem. I am sure if global was off you would see an influx of some blues. Would also bring variance and unique players to the server. You don't want guys old players back. Even if pop got to 300 and I'd play I. Two weeks of playing I would move on. Old players definitely need a new start to grab attention.

Now, is time to cater to the blues that have endless hours spent on pixelation quest and have nothing to show for. You do that before removing ooc and having an ingame player protection policy. The players in game therefore create lower level guilds to assist new players and you catch a guild0r on a twink camping newbs you disband them.

Just to recap removing ooc therefore early in game interaction with dribble and shit talk. Will keep new players vested past 0-10. Second the players in game must see this opportunity to play sides and help new players grow. Finally any old player that comes back will quit cause shit ain't fresh.

I disagree. I liked the global ooc when I was new, and I still like it. Not everyone gets triggered by trash talk. It also makes it easier to find groups and a guild if you're new and don't know anyone since the population is so low.

How do you know most new players see it as a negative? Did you take a poll? Do you send them a tell to ask them how they feel about it when you see a new name on the server? Or are you just generalizing?

Also, how would people sell anything on red? It's not like we can sit in the EC tunnel. If trade had its own channel, it would just turn into ooc.

All of this is moot anyways, nothing is going to change.

This is the typical "I don't like something so nobody can like it" post. My guess is that ignight is a low T hillary or Bernie supporter. Turn it off or go back to blue if you don't like it. Your +1 to the server doesn't matter when compared to how useful global ooc is to people that wouldn't know of other people's existence zones away.

In short,
Get fukt

OOC is a blessing in disguise.

Voting no on your safe space idea.

That’s something you don’t want.

Let’s review.....

Dragons rooted in ToV ( that’d be fun to grief)
No YT msg ( lol still doubt Apex would pvp)
No ooc (noobs would quit real quick, which is good)
Linking items (good luck trading)
Pretty sure the vulak event should be in.
Allow recharges (wand city bitch)

Etc etc I’m sure there is more...
