Default Is it worth it to reroll the same class?

I have a 38 iksar shaman but I haven't played in a while(maybe half a year) and I feel like playing again. Is it worth it to transfer all his stuff to a new shaman of same race and class and just relevel for the sake of it? The thing is in my case, if I go back to a character that I haven't played in a long time it's hard for me to get into it as much as a character I started recently and worked up.

I would possibly even consider deleting my previous character and using the same name to save character space. Has anyone done anything like this and regretted it or felt it was worth it?

For the sake of it? No.

But If you plan on raiding I wouldn't ever delete any char above like 20, because alts can be very useful for parking outside of raids (e.g. park 1 outside Fear portal, 1 at KC, Draco spawns log in your Fear portal alt). Even if they are the same class. Not to mention Naggy/Vox alt.

If it's worth it to you, then it's worth it. Some people only like certain classes. Some people don't like the high-level game.

This is how I play EQ. I bet I have rolled characters named Allakhazam and Shartacus 500 times on P99. I level to maybe 30-40 and then reroll.

Honestly, who in their right mind wants to be 60 on this server, anyway?

Do whatever you think is fun in the game. If you want to do those levels again on a new character because you think it's fun, do it.

No. Absolutely don't do it. You're past the crucial pet milestone at 34 and close to 45 for JBB. Stick to it!

Edit:

If you absolutely want to level another shaman, make them an alt. But don't delete your current guy. 38 Shaman is an achievement, particularly with how annoying the late teens/early 20s can be.
