Default Human Paladin Gear advice

Started a Human Pally he is up too lvl 33 now and has a full set of Crusty armor but I noticed that my procing weapons aren't procing with the negative Dex stats on the crusty armor looking to upgrade from it but not sure with what.

All the crystal chitin pieces are nice for a Paladin and great fashionquest on a human.

A full set of crusty only penalizes you 10 dex. That’s not enough to bother yourself with. Usually you get about 1-2 procs a min (average) from a low to high dex build. There are a few situations where dex is ideal to spec for but at your level/gear it’s likely going to come at a detriment elsewhere.

It’s decent armor with all the strength but your stam/hp conversion at 33 is not great. That and it’s fairly low AC compared to a few cheap pieces of Deepwater. That and you have a 48 charisma penalty so if you like to lull split it’s going to increase your chance of a critical-resist (ie: not a solo pull).

Even with a ton of dex and a ghoulbane at 33 you are better off with a .75+ 2h weapon. Baton of Faith, Iceflame, Vindication...all very cheap.

1 proc a min is average. 2 is if you have 255 dex. You will very often have a string of mobs with no procs, then a single fight with like 3-5 procs. It's just RNG.

Given all the bonuses from crusty as a tank, its a great choice to stay in all the way until velious plate.
