Default Cloning my UI

So I tried to use the previous thread on cloning my UI among my P99 Green Characters but it doesnt work for me.

I copy the files, move them to the EQ folder but when I reload the game, there is no change.

You renamed them too, right?

Also what UI are you trying to use? Remember Green is locked to the "classic" one. You can clone the window positions and hotkeys etc between characters using the same method though.

I am copying the file, renaming it to the different character.

It doesnt create and place the new windows, it just leaves 1 window in the middle and that is it.

Does eqgame.exe run in admin mode? If not, and it's installed in a protected location (like program files) you'll need to put your files in the temp location that's somewhere in c:\users\<username>\appdata and not the install folder, or change it to run in admin mode so it can use the files in the protected folder.

It will not let me run as administrator for some reason. I dont know where to find the temp location files at.

Is EQ installed in a protected location such as program files? Or have you changed the install to some other path like c:\games\everquest? If the former, moving it out of there will make your life easier (you'll have to update or recreate your shortcut to launch titanium.bat) and then it should use the UI files you put there.

Otherwise, click start and type <%appdata%> (without the <>'s) which will open your profile's temp folder. Then search in there for the Everquest folder. Might be under Sony or Sony Interactive or something like that. Once you find it, put your UI files there.

Also to make sure you're using the correct source UI file (and not just copying the default one from your install folder) check the dates on when they were last modified.
