Default What if: all plat is deleted

Been thinking about this randomly lately and wondering if u guys have any theories. What would happen if admins delete every existing player-owned coin on the server. Inventory and bank. All plat is gone. Everything else remains unchanged. What happens to the server in the fallout? How/when does the economy recover? What would happen to all the epic MQ's the top guilds have banked if there's no plat for desperate players to buy them with?

Thx in advance for participating in my stupid thread.

The prices people charge for player provided services would skyrocket in attempts to make back fortunes.

Price either go up or stagnate. They wouldn't decrease due to demand because basic market behavior doesn't exist on p99. Think how many fungis are actually out there.

Better question is what would people do if Red/Blue got wiped and Green server started up?

Platinum would lose all value. Items would be traded for other items or for stacks of high value gems. Need to recharge? Sell a few rubies, recharge your item. Nobody would trust plat to not be deleted again in the future.

With no money players won't be able to afford food and drink. The epidemic of no stamina or mana recovery adds to the economic burden. Dozens of similar threads pop up in tech support about how to hide hungry/thirsty messages, devs get irritated and ban all people who have replied to threads because nerd rage...all while papa Johns revenue increases by 0.03% due to superliminal messaging. All cities in norrath would look like East Freeport...Lucanvilles everywhere. Bertoxxulous Sanders would start gaining significant political support from trolls, erudites, barbarians and ogres. Banking regulations mean banks can no longer be open 24 hours and more stringent rules on account minimums, higher fees, etc.

Cazic Thule uses this time to sow fear throughout the land, then lizards invade and implement their Iksaryan racial cleansing campaign.

Top raiding guilds would fall overnight (in-game time). The peridot and ruby speculators would reign as the new bourgeoisie.

I've pretty much played the game cashless since TMO. You don't need platinum to enjoy this game. You only need it to bribe porters to come pick you up.
