I love this story. It so Everquest. This kind of challenge is exactly why so many of us are here all these years later. Best of luck in your adventures, and never be afraid to ask for help or advice. This community is generally pretty supportive.

Ahh I remember my first Everquest experience. Made a halfling rogue on my mom's account, died in Rivervale to a piranha in the water. Popped in Misty Thicket with no idea where my corpse was, managed to somehow grind to 4 or so. Then my mom got me my own account so I didn't have to make toons on hers, and my first REAL character, a dwarf paladin named Dabber was created. God did I roll some awful toons to start this game with.

I'm not a new player, and all my green toons are human. It's part of the fun.

Holy shit, yes, I got to them once when I was just mashing buttons out of frustration and made my game window fullscreen as well, can't remember what it was that I hit to bring up settings, though.
