Smedley always looked like he was a truck driver too, didn't he have a tattoo of a sword impaling a glazed ham on his forearm?

We dont know yet. Its a fine looking game, definately coming along nicely. But AFAIK, they're still actively working on it with no release date known.

The original Planetside was a masterpiece...the fact that you could have 100 players in an area all shooting each other and only be lagging slightly ON DIAL UP? I dont know how they did it, but they did it.

I just wish I had ASDL/cable/etc at the time, could never enjoy piloting the flyers [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Was the first game that convinced me to look away from EQ.

I actually loved Planetside 2 when it first came out. Somehow they managed to mess it up about a year in. It went from being a game I played on a daily basis, to a game where all players did was spawncamp each other. Last few times I logged in I'd get two shot immediately upon spawning while using heavy infantry fully shield modded. Over and over. Lol, and then they gave the invisible sniper kit powerful automatic weapons.

So full of fail. They just can't do anything right.

Yes Planetside 1 even after the ....expansion was released with the robots or whatever was awesome. OP, but awesome. Then after 1 month or so they screwed it ALL up.

I had DSL and I had a dual core CPU and took advantage of it until they fixed 'their' stupid coding issue. Not my fault my CPU made me run as fast as a mosquito and made my mosquito fly 2x fast. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I wish there was a Original Planetside EMU out there that's worthwhile. I'd play it. I heard about one a while back but I read that it pretty much failed or was failing. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
