Not as easily as you might think. Socially--sure. However, fascist economic policy does tend to incorporate at least some ideas that usually appeal to the political left. I've played that game with liberal friends before. Thing is, fascism can't really be separated from its hard-right nationalist social policy, so it remains classified as part of the political right, just a distinct version of "right" all its own, much separate from U.S.-style "vampiric capitalism."

Any good communist has to be a republican (but not a Republican) by nature....they're supposed to detest all monarchs and royalty. It's a sick joke that all their own nations end up authoritarian governments with their own defacto royals-in-all-but-name.
