My wife liked Grace ridge that you have to take a boat to from Homer. That was really cool as well but the first two miles are 8 foot tall ferns and mosquitoes so dense they’re on your eyelids. I thought I was in Jurassic park. Once we cleared that (9 mile hike), it was stunning. Neither of those was close to anchorage. In the anchorage area, I’d say eagle and symphony lakes

Update:
Rain still doesn’t compare to Houston but it just started raining like a mother fucker in anchorage. This is like day 20 in a row for rain

“Sun” (its been cloudy / rainy for 3 weeks) still out from 6 am to 10 pm. Sadly, not yet
I hear late September / Early October it’s possible to see them in anchorage, but better up north in Fairbanks. I’m definitely looking forward to it

And to top it off planes didnt fall from the sky and no boats of oil flipped over due to computers going haywire.
Another day another CME disappointment all around lol
