Default escaping death as a warrior

I just rolled a new warrior and one of the most glaring weaknesses of the class is that there is no way to protect yourself from death. My ogre warrior has no invis, feign death, run fast spell, or any other good method to escape a mob. It's really difficult to go afk for a minute when I need to like for example, to change a diaper.

So, what do most warriors do to keep themselves safe while regening hp?

afk in a safe spot.

Necro/Monk is great for casual play while doing RL things. FD all the way.

Other than innate hide (halflings, dark elves) its pretty much just knowing the pathing route of the zone sadly.

You can pick Halfling or Dark Elf so as to have access to Hide. Obtain Jboots and you can outrun most critters. There are too many invisibility click items to mention.

Unless something has changed, u should be able to strafe to zone -- even if crit health as a warrior. Some monsters do run faster (casters with sow, some animals, etc...

Above post nailed it.

As far as in a group, clench your butt and wait for that CH to land.

Run diagonally!

As an ogre you can slam a mob before you run for a head start too.

Really though warrior is not a good class for baby sitting.

I found Wiz good while baby sitting duties, but if you want something fighty perhaps a monk or a shadowknight would be better?

Another way to protect yourself from death is have plenty of hp/ac so you can survive an attack (duh).

Cloudy potions are an unstable, but insta cast invis. Only 10pp a shot.

Zonening is a good way to clear aggro.

The best form of risk management is elimination; if you afk in 'safe' spots you will more or less eliminate the risk of death...

or if you really have to afk, camp out.

Final suggestion is have a friend keep an eye on your character while you afk (like make friends in game and group with them).

Everyone missed the obvious answer to this. Shame on all of you.

Buy 2 of these, learn how to recharge and then use it in emergencies when you want to avoid death. Instant cast and usable from your inventory.
