Default M.2 SSD Character Model load issue

I have an issue when the game loads in a new character model that the frame rate in the game drops by about 5 fps and has a momentary hesitation, this is especially annoying in dungeons when using mouse look to navigate tight corridors. I was able to determine it was character models causing the problem by hanging out at the druid rings in WC and noticing the drop any time someone ported in.

I tried all sorts of solutions to the problem and the only one that I've found to work was to create a RAM disc and run the game from that, however that seems absurd considering the SSD I'm running is a top notch SSD. I'm uncertain if there is a solution out there I've done tried, I'm considering reach out to Seagate and find out if its a read issue with the drive some how, but the drive performs excellent everywhere else but the 20 yr old elfsim.

any ideas?

the SSD in question is a Firecuda 520 M.2 2TB SSD
