Voting is a complete waste of time, it only encourages the politicians and nothing of significance will change based on the results. There is a wise proverb in many other countries, along the lines of "a change in rulers only gives comfort to fools." "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." The major parties are playing you if you think it makes one bit of difference who gets elected. If you view politics as sport, it can be pleasing to see the other side cry, but that is about it.
