IMO the epic is definitely worth getting. It's fairly easy to get, it's one of the coolest looking weapons in the game, the stats/proc/bash on it are all very useful. The only thing it lacks is the high end DPS that a tov weapon does, but a lot of times the stats and bash will come in more handy than extra damage in group content.

The only reason to play a paladin is fashionquest, and the epic is the best looking weapon in the game. So yes.

It doesn’t suck. With the new damage bonus it’s only 3% worse ratio than a Frostwrath (I never use mine). It’s 7% worse than the narandi lance, assuming you don’t get many procs.

If you don’t have ntov stuff the narandi isn’t bad. Fighting melee mobs you do a lot of root/helm or bp clicking. The dot keeps rolling and adds up. For casters if you are progression limited the epic is really nice for casters; the main reason I mentioned the Frostwrath as a 1h/shield is a normal caster npc tank setup.
I always thought stuff like the MBS was overrated for the price but now with 2h damage bonus changes 1h is definitely lagging behind. It does make me cringe though seeing people use the FD on raid targets. A classic example why a narandi is superior…more dps and no chance of getting two-rounded into the dirt. | ||
