Default Solo shm vs nec (budget edition)

Who would overall be a better soloer and money maker? Budget style, no epics, no expensive spells, no clickies. I know shamans are solo kings with Torpor but what if that ain't even close to feasible.

Figuring a sub 10k budget does the necro win? They could afford almost their whole toolkit with that budget.

Shamans get hosed, Malo is at least 10k, Pox and Bane are twice that easily, and obviously Torpor still more than all those combined. Are they still stronk without that stuff?

Necromancer and Enchanter are the best budget solo options. Enchanters can solo some camps Shamans cannot as well.

Shamans really need Torpor to solo the stuff Enchanters cannot solo. Shamans can still solo well without Torpor, but they would be soloing the same things a Necromancer would be. Guards, Hill Giants, etc.

If you WANT to make a Torpor Shaman, roll Shaman so you can level and kill guards for money at the same time. Your farm rate is going to be roughly equal to Necromancer.

If you don't want to play a Torpor Shaman, roll Necromancer or Enchanter for your farming class.

Go with necro. The class in incredibly fun to play if you're new to it and you can farm serious cash with it at higher levels, the Fingerbone Hoop camp alone can simply make you rich if you put in time and patience.

Again, it just depends on if you plan on using that money for a Shaman. If your goal is to create a Torpor Shaman, kill two birds with one stone and go Shaman. You will level up the class you are planning on financing, and make pretty good money. Shamans can solo many money camps quite well, even before Torpor.

If you are not financing a Shaman, go Iksar Necro.

The best counter to a shaman being a farm bot that I've honestly ever heard, aside from the utility a necro offers, is:

A shaman you spend like 300k to farm with, a necro you spend 0 and that's a lot of catching up to do [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It's a bit of an exaggeration, but just worth considering hehe
