Default Decently geared SK has 2.3k: Upgrade weapons or buy haste item?

So I recently returned to p99 after a couple-year long hiatus. I want to float back and forth between leveling my SK and bard. My bard is pretty cheaply geared (but doesn't really need anything, as my HP+ items below go back and forth between bard and SK). Right now my SK (Dark Elf, level 14) is geared as follows:

Fingers/Ears: HP+ Rings and Diamondine Earrings
1hs: Sword of Skyfire (and Crested Mistmoore Shield)
2hs: Nathsath Greatsword
Chest: Mithril BP
Face: Silvery Mask
Feet: Sebilite Scale Boots
Arms: Dusty Rusty Vambraces (mainly for +HP)
Shoulders: Drolvarg Mantle
Back: Giant Scalemail Cloak
Neck: Glowing Bone Collar
Face: Silvery Mask
Wrists: Tar Goo Strands

Empty slots: Hands, Legs, Waist (leather armor pieces)

My question: I have 2.3k to spend (keeping in mind that I want to be able to solo when needed), should I: 1) Upgrade weapon/s (perhaps to a wurmy?) or 2) Buy a haste item (SCHW or the cheaper and lower haste Swiftclaw Sash), or 3) Some other option I don't know of (such as filling in other armor pieces)?

I also have the option to hold off on haste item and do the quest for the Swiftclaw Sash when I get to 25-30. Has anyone done this quest? Any suggestions? Thanks for feedback!

Definately buy some SCHW. I will sell them to you for 2k if you want.

Sounds great! Send a tell to either Adien, Mortana, or Girardius next time you're on =D

Silver chitin hand wraps. They're one of the cheaper options for haste items.

Another option is to look into better armour with your plat. A few crustacean pieces would last you until the planes easily. Maybe scoop up a deathbringer's rod or axe of lost souls too.

You can do both. Buy his SCHW for 2k and get a Arbitor's Combine Greatsword for about 200pp. Use your 1hander until level 20, then switch to 2hand and use your 1hander and shield for casters.

How's your own "Shadow Archer" coming along? You haven't updated us in awhile! Been waiting to see how it proceeds past the lower levels.

Remember as a SK you're there to tank, the dps is secondary....particularly with snap aggro.

Late to the party on this one but I'd say a haste item isn't a priority for a twink, unless you're doing solo fear kiting or something.
