BG2 is quite possibly my all time favorite game. I'm still regularly replaying it.

Consider Might and magic 6! (it's basically single player EQ classic ;p)

It has little towns, eyepatches, dungeons and skeletons.

THe tricks I learned playing EQ really did me well in a playthrough earlier during this pandemic, it as fun and worth it!
