Default Upgraded to Win11 and new PC and now game will not run - sometimes.

Sometimes the game runs fine, other times I get an error from the server selection screen (tiring to get on Blue, not that I think that matters).

The instruction at 0x000000006E4A5293 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000008.
The memory could not be read.

Its always the same error and always the same instruction and memory location.

Try different compatibly modes (95 or 98/ME - higher modes don't even start up).
Run as admin.

What is odd is the game works sometimes just fine, other times not at all, but then will start working again.

I've reinstalled and reapply patch files. nothing.
Was going to try WinEQ2 to see if that had some magic that fixed this but would like to know more about this since did not have this issue with win10/old computer and it randomly intermittent.

Thanks.[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The system often prompts me to update, but I don’t want to.

Did you find a solution for this? I get this error message sometimes on my Win 11 rig.

Getting same error message. Anyone have solutions or advice? Just keep trying and be thankful if/when it gets past server select screen?
