Black textures
Hey!
I recently suffered from random crashes and I installed dgVoodoo (4 .dll files) and it has solved all my crash issues but introduced graphic bugs like this one, in various zones. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] These black textures have one thing in common: They get brighter and start to appear the closer I get, as if the game thinks that I'm in a super dark dungeon and will only be able to see the objects when I get closer. This is also the case at in-game daylight. I've been trying to mess around the with the settings inside the dgVoodoo control panel without success. If there are people in the future with a similar issue:
The solution (for me) was removing the following entry in my eqclient.ini config file: HardwareTnL=FALSE Apparently, this command tells the game to not use the Hardware Transform and Lighting features of the video card. This entry is NOT included in the "original download" package of Project 1999, so it must have been added later, probably by myself when trying to solve some screen tearing issues 3 years ago. | ||
