To be honest. They should just put that server out of its misery and open a second blue server. There's probably 100 people world wide that enjoy pvp in everquest and they have a server now.

I played a bunch on red, and had lots of fun, until the average pop simply got too low, like <50 all the time. Now I'm on blue, but I'd totally hit red up again if the pop recovered, wipe or not!

Also if you think red is chock full of douchebags, you're thinking of days gone by. Pretty cool people by and large, and generally skilled. There are SOME asshats of course, but that's certainly true of blue as well.
