Default Can you have 2 Coldain Rings at different levels?

Obviously the Coldain Rings are lore but say I'm on ring 6, can I start on a second ring and just keep it one step lower to avoid lore restrictions?
Not a lot of great rings I can afford so it occurred to me this might be worth doing.

Since lore items only care about the exact same named item, yes, this is a thing you can do.

yes. It's also advantageous to have ring9 and ring10 simultaneously as ring10 does not stack with regrowth but ring9 does.
