FOV

I have a widescreen monitor. I set the resolution of the monitor in the ini-file and it workes fine, but it looks very wierd. Is there a way to change the FOV in the game?

Also, is there a way to scale the UI?

/viewport.

The narrower/taller your screen the more vertical field of view you get. The horizontal field of view remains the same whatever your resolution.

Tried around some with it. Seems widescreen is not so great. Have to cut off the sides to get any useful FOV setting.

Yep.

Viewport is the go. EQ is a 4:3 game. You'll see more and be able to set up a UI significantly better placing your UI elements off of your field of view. More space to target stuff etc.
