Default Tstaff vs. Fungi

Acquired a Tranquil staff and excited to give to my monk, but wondering if trading it for a Fungi tunic would be better off...

Other alts could benefit from the tunic, or just maybe take the plat and upgrade other areas....

How good the tstaff get after chardok revamp?

Thoughts??

Fungi is about 100x more useful for the money. T-Staff should be seen as a toy. Fungi is nearly essential.

Fungi is a game changing item while t-staff is a Peacebringer that can hold agro for tanking. Chardok revamp is not going to be nearly the boost in dps that people think it is.

Tstaff is going to be like a 10% increase in damage over peacebringer, and it stuns so you take a bit less damage there. Its nice. So if you assume things die 10% faster and they are stunned out of a little damage, while soloing you could think of it as having like 15% more hp. assuming around 2k hp its like having an extra 300hp in some sense. Compare this to a fungi which heals 15hp/tic. Over the course of a 20 minute respawn cycle this is healing 3,000hp.

Tstaff is nice but fungi is just way way way stronger.

Its not even confirmed there will be a 2h boost or monks getting triple attack. It is my contention that these will be seen as the Luclin pre-patch and never actually make their way to P99 but who knows really.

Fungi is literally 100x better than a t staff as many have pointed out, and considering you are 52 you should be working towards your epic anyways which makes this even more of a no brainer choice.

Sell it, get the fungi, then go back to leveling in Karnor's and win another.

If only it were that easy.

I have been leveling in KC from 50 to 59 and in all that time I have seen four Tstaffs drop. But here is the kicker. The first three were when I was 50 and one dropped each of the first three nights I was there (christmas bonus xp weekend). So in 8 levels since then I have only seen one drop. Needless to say I am 0 for 4 on winning them. But I only have a 1 out of 6 chance to win each time so I get to lose one more before I am owed one by the laws of math.

Of course Murphy's law says I will never ever get one [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
