also, racism is garbage like many popular ideas. culture is really just the collection of ideas embraced by a group of people and the behavior they manifest as a result. for example, you have different cultures between competing business firms and within the firms thenselves. the only real link between race and culture is one of historical happenstance.

gotcha. i really dunno about the language shift. the vast majority of my cultural awareness (what other people say/think about politics and stuff) comes from this forum. otherwise I read headlines, watch some news sometimes, listen to radio sometimes and bounce thoughts off the people around me who seem similarly unaware.
