i think the point is, if the US became communist, we could all be come wealthy enough to by properties in other countries where we would actually liek to liev. communism is a national stepping stone to individual independence.

Singapore is basically communism as well.

Vietnam...getting there but its a backwater for sure still.

Venezuela is very far removed from any modern communist authoritarian theory. They don't have an open market -- similar to Burma. They are communist but isolated and not engaging in good international trade strategies in a western dominated globe...but China will probably bail them out eventually.
