Field of Bone Rain

Perhaps it's normal, but the last couple of times that I've been in the Field of Bone and rain starts, it's gone on for quite some time. Tonight it went on for three real-life hours. Is this par for the course or does that seem to be a little much?

This is a common issue with emu's in general. I'm told it was even an issue with weather effects on WoW emu servers.
