is the server/hardware dying or is this riduclous zone time now some bug?

Half the time I zone now I get a massive load time 2+ miins. About 20% of the time it will take 5+ mins and i just kill the client cause its obviously not working. Then when i try to log back in I get "unknown error" for 3-5 mins when try to join server.
