Now that threat is capped at 400, ratio is the primary difference between weapons. The Blade of Strategy, Willsapper, Trident of the Deep Sea, and 'good' VP weapons are all more or less equivalent and generate some 70-75 hate per second on average.
The next tier is the SoD (which you aren't getting; blame Rampage) and the 'real' Blade of Carnage (which you aren't getting; blame Elethia), which generates 90 hate per second. Once the 2H damage bonus is upgraded, Gaudralek will be roughly comparable threat to the Kunark-ish 1H combos but will do vastly more damage, be more consistent, and have better stats. The Jagged Blade of War should be the best threat option (78/s, a small improvement). | ||

The real answer is that if you're playing a warrior on this server and you're going to be a high enough level that you can ask this question - yes you should be working on getting your epic. Not because of any of the hate generation aspects already addressed in this thread, but because its probably the single greatest fashionquest item in the game. You might think that when you hit 60 and you're running around with an Infestation and Willsapper that you're going to feel like you've made it, but in true EQ form you will 100% feel like it is not enough and you need light sabers to be considered a real warrior (and you'll be correct.) Never underestimate your own vanity, young tank.

Warrior epic is super good. 15sta and 50hp on red blade, plus the proc is pretty good aggro. And then the blue blade is awesome for DPS. That attack boost is huge. Plus it looks amazing. Like others said, I felt like my Warrior wasn’t a real Warrior until he had his lightsabers. It’s 100% with doing.

I only specifically mention bio orb cause its infinite clicks. Root nets, slow hammer, etc. all make weapon based aggro meaningless beyond white damage to keep aggro up. The initial aggro from clicks will last you basically on any mob until your disc runs out, when you swap tanks (on raid mobs) anyways.
