Default buyer pretending as seller?

just wondering if this anyone has seen this tactic from buyers as an attempt to lower market price

I'm sure it happens both ways(to lower or raise prices)
I know I've had my suspicions

The best is bumping the same persons threads simultaneously to the top of their WTB thread of which all items are identical to their WTS thread(of course you know which ones are 30% higher)

Theres been at least a couple people doing that on Fungi Tunic. One idiot was auctioning it at 44k and saying sold as soon as you sent a tell. The other has been very recently auctioning it at 52k repeatedly every day, but never actually has 1 for sale.

They are easy to pick out on the auction tracker if you are looking; something sells consistently for one price and then just one person is selling for 20% of that price or 200% despite the normal price barely fluctuating...
