PvP is very generously "opt-in" on everquest - you can go to the arena and even hand in your tome to the priest of discord if you really feel like PvPing. Unsurprisingly, almost no one does either of those things.

Also, training people is waaaaaay funner when you can't kill them normally.

and i think the arena has some problems, never been there tho
