Freeze on zoning

The title says it all. About 50% of the time, when I zone on any character the client will freeze and the only way out is to close EQ with the Task Manager. I've looked around and found one post about how the loading-art was causing the problem, so I disabled that. Problem didn't happen for a while, but it's back at it again, so I'm guessing I just got lucky on zoning for a while. Any suggestions?

Edit: Forgot to mention, it's also happening on my wife's laptop when she plays. I'm playing on a desktop with Windows 8.1, she's playing on a laptop with Windows 10.

Are you using compatibility mode or the duxa fix so that you are not playing EQ with multi-core enabled?

It's happening to me too, try deleting your log files if they get too big they can cause similar problems. Didn't help in my case.
