I've always found that when I was leveling and going after reds and yellows that the instrument helped to mezz and land other songs. Maybe it was just luck or not but it worked for me.

On live instruments helped songs land iirc. I can recall one instance in particular where without a flute my mez got resisted 4/5 times. Once I'd equipped it I was resisting maybe 2/5

Unfortunately lots of bardly things from live/classic don't work the same way on p99 so it's very difficult to give you a perfect answer.

Charm/mez/lull specifically have their own way of working on p99. So just do like we all did, find what works for you and play it by ear [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I like this. We know roughly how things work, but not the details. That level of obscurity feels more classic than having all the maths in front of us!
