I think that means the bare minimum: I have a job.

I plan on trying not too spend too much of my extra free-time, but instead playing a good solo class and just killing spawns while I do my work from home life style.

I took off work for 2 weeks during classic WoW launch and nolife'd my way to server first 60 mage (though it's the RP server so not impressive), and was even duoing with the guild MT until lvl 50 (lvling a war with crap weapons is rough). We synced our schedules and duo'd for about 17 hours a day.

I'm considering taking 1 week off for this launch, probably playing way too much like I did for the classic WoW launch, but I want to try enjoying myself more this time. I can't afford to fall in with the poopsock/batphone crowd, bad for my health and sanity. I want to group to 50 with a traditional classic group build (melee and all), and let the good times roll.

you guys are so crazy lol.
playing 8h a day is having a life?
playing 2h a day is probably the line for "unhealthy addiction" ^^;
Unless you meant you have a life inside the server, then yes, i guess it starts at 8/24.

honestly even 1h/day steady is probably above what most casual scums like me can give to Green launch. I might be a little bit more immersed than that at launch and for a couple of weeks, cause new server hype yaddi yadda, my wife understands my weird addiction to the "ugly old game with dragons and elf chicks". But yeah, it's gonna be 5-10h/week top.

I have a wife, kids, some friends and a 40h/week job.
I think most players do as well.
Probably not most ForumQuesters tho.

May the force be with you peeps.
Let's not taint Green's launch with one of you bastard dying on us cause 21h/day i want server firsts everywhere madness.

This didn't come at a great time for me. But the timing is going to prevent me from making a bad impression on my kids who are now old enough to make their own opinions.

Going way more casual than I'd prefer. However, I did talk my kids into giving it a try, so maybe I will make up for lost time via their labor.

Sleeping 4 to 6 hours a day for multiple days doesn't seem like a break from work.

I agree. I did this once when my Druid reached 55 just at the start of a holiday weekend with a 25% XP bonus. I wanted 60 so bad that I played 4 am to midnight Friday, Saturday, Sunday and then maybe a 10 hour run on Monday (all in permafrost holding the upper bear pit camp). I was exhausted and it sure felt more like work then fun when you factored in all the cramping from that many hours in an office chair.

But I hit 60!

Yeah and a 9-5 job at that [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].

If I get to put 1-2 hours in every other day that would be a lot already.

Please seek balance in your life and do not risk your health by trying to spend a week only sleeping 4 hours a night over the release of another emulated server for a 20 year old game.
This might sound harsh, but I also agree with this statement. Sleep deprivation + lack of exercise / sunlight + (I am assuming) a poor diet could very well send you into a deep depression.
