Chat channels

OK before you flame the "Chat channels are not classic" hear me out.

I had read that a global ooc was being considered. Why can we not do chat channels instead? One big advantage is we can have an "Auction" channel and an "ooc". With a global ooc it will just be spammed with trades anyways and this would be away of people that don't want to read auctions.

This also gives smaller guilds a chance to create combined raid forces, this will allow others to compete with the larger raiding guilds.

we can just get on the board anyway, right? i don't see what a global OOC would hurt. but then at the same time, if we can just get on the board anyway, why clutter our chat boxes with global spam?
