Baptism has a focus on otherworldly spirituality and having a "born-again" experience. It lends itself to vigorous evangelicalism. The preachers tend to be more performative compared to more button down secs. Because of the emphasis on spiritual experience -- it tends to be those more preachy than intellectual in their theology and there is less "giving back to the community" emphasis like there is with Methodists for example.
It's also less snobby than like Catholic or Presbyterian. Which means you get more white or euro trash backgrounds running through there. It's really popular with the south eastern red neck constituency here in the US.
