I lived in Japan for 5 years, so I love me some yakitori. First thing I did when I moved to the Netherlands was find my local Asian market.

Last time I was at the Asian market I was noticing how all the men stand around like they are in the yakuza, or have this expression like they are just totally not interested in their surroundings and have a like 1000 yard stare, and I was wondering if that was a cultural effect of having all this cute shit everywhere, if the men who want to be men just try to avoid looking at things or being interested in things

A take on French onion soup. Added some carrots, celery, and little asparagus in with the carmelized onions. Then homemade meatballs, and probably a bit too much cheese.

I ate too much.
