Milton Friedman's Free To Choose Series
Just thought I'd toss this up here and see if there were any other players with an amateur interest in economics.
The series is fascinating as are the debates which immediately follow each episode. While I don't always agree with Friedman (for example: he's completely wrong about the cause of the Great Depression and un-regulated medicine is an abysmal idea), I do think he had some interesting and important things to say. Also he's a lot more accessible (and a lot less crazy) than anarcho-capitalists. Anyways, enjoy: Volume 01: The Power of the Market http://vimeo.com/26727003 Volume 02: The Tyranny of Control http://vimeo.com/26729215 Volume 03: Anatomy of a Crisis http://vimeo.com/26866118 Volume 04: From Cradle to Grave http://vimeo.com/26721524 Volume 05: Created Equal http://vimeo.com/26868005 Volume 06: What's Wrong With Our Schools http://vimeo.com/26870237 Volume 07: Who Protects the Consumer? http://vimeo.com/26874695 Volume 08: Who Protects the Worker? http://vimeo.com/26912276 Volume 09: How to Cure Inflation http://vimeo.com/26914444 Volume 10: How to Stay Free http://vimeo.com/26919636 | ||
