The Arena is off limits to unauthorized PvP 15 minutes before and 15 minutes after the event. This is to ensure that the contestants and spectators are safe.

Spectators shall remain seated and not casting during the match. Any spell casting shall be considered aimed at a participant, and either harmful or helpful to someone in the match.

Anyone who casts any spells (including Bard songs) during a match can be death touched and removed from the Arena.

Spectators shall not use /shout for any reason, but use /ooc instead. This is so that those involved in the match can use /shout, and the /ooc channel can be turned off to reduce distraction to the contestants involved. Use of /shout at anytime can result in a silence command being issued, rendering the player unable to use any form of communication, or banishment from the Arena.

Spectators shall not interfere with this event. Severe penalties are used only when directly attacking a player involved in the match, attacking a judge during the match, or healing a player involved in a match.

The P99 staff may limit the amount of people in the zone to control conditions of lag or frame rate for the participants. The event shall start open seating, but may close off at any time. The Event Staff may use any sort of decision on who stays and who leaves to ensure the event is a success. This should not be implemented until a minimum of 150 players in the zone has been reached.

AoE Spells ARE allowed in game. This has the potential of killing off some of the younger spectators. If you are killed by one of these spells, please wait for a GM or Guide to give you a summons into the Arena.

Cool,

Just one small point of ambiguity,
In the third line it says that sign ups start on the 18th and 19th,
It should instead say that the events themselves take place on the 18th and the 19th.

Also, with respect to the Warrior BoTB, an earlier post of yours stated that Trochilic's Skean was prohibited, but mention of that has been omitted from this post.
Does this mean that the Trochlic's Skean is now allowed, or is that just a small oversight?

And I'd just like to say thanks to Ambrotos for organising and setting up all these BoTBs. I'm just one of many who appreciates the opportunity to compete in one of these.

It just means I had a lot of information to put, and didn't get 100% of it in there. That's why I leave the thread open so people can remind me or point out short comings!

Thank you good sir.

Are we forbidden to wear Robe of the Whistling Fists? Or are we only disallowed from clicking it?

Are you stacking the monk botb to extremely favor those with epic? I mean seriously you have disallowed 2hb, you allowed epic which changes fists and is haste, but yet you disallow robe of whistling fists? Why? You want best of the best but hinder the rules. In original best of best you were allowed to use right clickable items also, as i camped pumice stones for the right click dispell. Best of best you should allow players to use whatever is at their disposal and see how creative they can be. Im still confused how you can disallow an item you need to obtain epic for monk, but turn around and allow epic, this makes no sense. Honestly you should allow 2hb, 1hb, range, whatever. Monks do 2hb so if you want the best monk you want one that knows he can 2hb. Any smart dueler will 2hb now you have effectively made it so best of best monk winnner will infact prolly not be best monk dueler, which is what the tournament is suppose to demonstrate.

If you can give me links to Lady D allowing right clicks I'll believe you. Seeing how Ele and myself have gotten 90% of the BotB rules straight from her posts, stating no right clicks, that is what I'm going for.

I posted a link to the Monk Botb video from live. They were only using Fists in that video, and you can see them clicking their epics. It does look like some monks some monks were wearing fungis in the video. But seeing how it adds on time, and limited staff doing this, this is why Fungis aren't allowed.
If you also watch the video, none are wearing the Robe.

I will be more than welcome to answer questions. If you do so, come with facts and links to back up your points if you are "remembering 10 years ago we did suchandsuch". These are the rule sets that Lady D set forth, and I made small adjustments but pretty much stuck with the very same rules.

Yes Jjlent, thank you
