Default how to lower the ping from Europe

Hello forum/devs,
the discrepancy between US and Europe ping is quite noticeable, the former around 40ms and the latter 140ms.
Is there any way to lower the European latency? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Move to America., or Canada [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Could also try contacting your ISP about bad hops. just a thought.
But your traceroute looks about as good as you'll get from Italy.

Alternatively you could convince everyone on earth to upgrade to high speed fiber internet. Then a better netcode could be used/developed for low latency across the world.
But don't expect that to happen as we've been using the same netcode for like.. 20 years now.
---
And inb4 someone suggest a vpn/proxy game service. Which will only help if the route to the service and then the route to the server is faster than your route to the server.
