Another shaman creation thread
I'm not asking anything about racials, I completely know the differences and the quest necks too.
I'm curious , for each race, should I place 25 points in wisdom and rest in stam? Or would any high end sham say they wish they placed it elsewhere?

People think there is shame is discussing what will end up being the "best" starting stats. I think it's fun to speculate what kind of gear you will end up with in a reasonable amount of time, what stats your will benefit from in your particular play-style, and what other people's experiences are with their play-style.
I sent this thread to some of my more seasoned Shaman friends, as every Shaman I play was made by someone else.

IMO, Wis is useless on a shaman unless you're constantly coming down from FM, being able to capitalize on having more mana. But whether you have 2000 mana or 3500 mana you can only regen mana at a certain rate. Mana pool is much less important than the ability to regain mana (through Canni for a shaman).
HP (and STA) give you the theoretical ability to recover more mana through Canni, as well as giving you more survivability. TL;DR I think STA is best. It really doesn't matter though.

Once you hit 60 and you can readily convert hp to mana and vice versa, you have to just look at hp and mana as one big pool of resources. 1hp>1mana, but i don't think 1hp>3 or 4mana(1sta seems to return 3hp while 1wis returns 11 or 12 mana before 200.).Thus if you don't think you will hit 200wis easily I'd dump points into wisdom, like on a troll.
Mana cap certainly helps going into some fights, as a bigger pool can help you outlast mobs that slowly drain your Mana (does more damage than you can heal+canni+all the other stuff shm do)

From an endgame NToV prospective -- its probably best to go Charisma.

with velious gear you could put the points into INT/AGI and you prolly wouldnt notice a difference once lv 50-60
