Default Anyone used a game controller to play EQ?

I am trying to find a way to be more "active", but at the same time like the good little addict I am I find it hard to pry myself away from the keyboard. Is there a way to play EQ with a game controller? That way I can do cardio on my bike and not miss monster slayage! Any got controler / key configurations to suggest?

I've used Xpadder and an xbox 360 controller.
left stick = move/turn
right stick = mouse
b = attack
y = jump
x = tab
start = esc
you can even setup function keys so if I hold left bumper and hit a = spell 1, b = spell 2, x = spell 3 y = spell 4

How you configure your controller is really personal preference

I've also used Pinnacle Game Profiler but I personally prefer xpadder.
There are a few options now-a-days for controller to keyboard.

Just remember to follow the rule of 1 press = 1 action [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I have used a PS4 contriller since I started on P99. I played both WoW and EQ live with it as well but the combinations of buttons you need to press are many [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I also use Xpadder and ds4windows for drivers. Only downside for me is that chatting sucks - have to drop controller and pickup k-board. Maining a necro works well [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Only class I haven't manage to play is bard, can't figure out how to twitch and move at the same time.

Oh another downside is I can't set EQ to run in compabilitymode to prevent crashing while switching chars. If I do, controller stops working while EQ window is highlighted. Minimizing EQ and controller works fine again. Haven't found a fix for this. sucky but not the end of the world, playing with a controller rocks [You must be logged in to view images. Reviving an old thread: Under Win10H I managed to get EQ in WinXP2 compat mode functional w/ XPadder in WinXP3 compat mode using an XBox Elite 2 controller. Hopefully it works for others too!!
