I don't think these RZ guys appreciate the different dynamic between a Teams and an FFA server. Under FFA rules, item loot makes more sense because it actually gives you a reason for killing random people. On a teams server, you don't need a reason. You kill people on the enemy team because they are your enemy, period. You PvP because you are competing over spawns, zone control and dungeon access. And just for fun.
So fucking sick of hearing the argument that item loot encourages PvP because it gives people a reason to fight. Complete bullshit. It does the opposite. It might incentivize these rabid PKs to gank people, but most people will respond to item loot by minimizing their exposure to PvP as much as possible - either by not playing on the server at all, running away/bagging instantly, or rolling with a zerg for protection.
The most important thing is encouraging a high population and balanced teams. If those two conditions are met then there will be plenty of meaningful PvP. Item loot does nothing to encourage either, and a lot to reduce population. It's literally the single worst idea possible for this server, unless the goal is to have Teams fail harder than Red (which, not coincidentally, is exactly what a lot of item loot proponents want to see).

GMs please monitor this guy's posts. Probably the most accurate and well though out T99 suggestions.
Also, consider this: all the "ITAM LEWTz!" ppl
are going to play the server regardless. But there are
HUNDREDS of ppl who
WILL NOT PLAY if item loot is enabled.
