It’s bad either way. But the hatred goes both ways. There isn’t a community in the US not moving into derangement territory with their opinions on various things

Other things the media is doing wrong in regards to this mass shooting other than differences in coverage length:

- Naming the shooter

- Plastering his manifesto everywhere

- describing the shooter in a neutral way, such as a “man wearing body armor and tactical gear”

- plastering the body count everywhere

This is EXACTLY what motivates these sickos to act. The media is perfectly playing into his hand, dancing the dance he wanted them to do

I can’t fault them for neutral coverage, but how I would cover the story would be like this:

“Boy coward targets vulnerable unsuspecting people in attack”

That’s it, no body count, no describing the scene like an action movie, no name of the shooter, and calling him a coward/insulting him

Do this for every mass shooting
